Super lightweight and cosy, the Air-Grid Fleece is a versatile mid-layer for a variety of climates, terrains and activities, making it the first thing we pack for any adventure.

A quest that took us down new design pathways

Like all the best design stories, the Air-Grid Fleece was born from necessity: we wanted to create a lightweight balance between breathability and warmth. A packable mid-layer that works for winter hiking but also breathes in warmer conditions, or when the pace steps up. A challenging brief, to be sure. And one that required a few years of solid testing, which led us to develop with our partners a fabric that is 100% fit for purpose.

Fit for wherever the journey calls

Made from 100% recycled microgrid fleece, the Air-Grid fabric traps more heat, breathes better, wicks faster, and compresses smaller than regular fleece. This makes the Air-Grid Fleece a best-of-both-worlds kind of item, that works on its own, or as an extra layer just in case. Since launching in 2022, it’s quickly became a crowd favourite amongst our community, and one we love seeing around the trails. Like when we bumped into a South Oz legend, Greg, at Victoria’s Mount Feathertop, who raved about his Air-Grid Fleece before he knew we were behind the design! Keep the feedback flowing…

Love this fleece
Used this fleece almost every day as I trekked up Kilimanjaro. It was perfect. Warm, comfortable, and also looked good. In addition, loved the hoodie and the sleeves. Perfect touch.

Love the fleece
I initially bought the fleece in Berry size 10 which I love - the feel, the comfort and the light weight. Then I bought another one in Mustard but up the size to 12 as I want it to feel loose so that I could wear it over a layer of t-shirt. Just came back from climbing 2 mountains in Indonesia (both above 2000M) and it was very chilly and windy at both summit, but the fleece helps to keep me warm.

Excellent
I am a size 8-10/S or M depending. I am 158 cm and weigh 58-60kg.
I bought the air grid fleece when it was unisex and had to pass it on to a friend since it was a tad loose for me. This was perfect. A bit easy breezy as a fit, enough for me to layer with something under if needed but fit well enough to wear a jacket on top.
I would love to buy one in another colour way.
Helped in the really windy headlands, and was perfect on a hike where it wasn't stifling and was definitely breathable.

Three capes comfort
I recently completed the Three Capes trail in Tasmania. The air-grid fleece was perfect for the cold mornings and afternoons on the trail, and the evenings around camp under a warmer jacket. It’s light weight, warm, and also very flattering. I had a lot of people ask me about the brand and if I recommended it. I can happily say I do!
